The Owner Operators Coalition of Virginia is a non-profit association of owner operators conducting business out of the Port of Virginia, CSX, and Norfolk Southern rail yards located in Hampton Roads.  OOCVA , founded in 2007 is a member driven coalition of small business truckers working for improvements in the  intermodal industry
What We Do

Member  Representation

OOCVA constantly works to expand our growing network of members and affiliates to provide representation for small business truckers of the intermodal industry. OOCVA focus includes preservation of owner-operator rights and contract compliance as outlined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administrations Leasing Regulations

Promote Port Efficiency

OOCVA members site poor efficiency  as severely limiting earnings potential. The coalition seeks a reduction in the hours of unpaid drayage time members must absorb. Improving systematic inefficiencies also decreases diesel emissions via reductions in truck congestion while on the terminals.  OOCVA  seeks strict compliance by IEP's for the maintenance and improved safety levels  of intermodal equipment.

Resource Development

OOCVA utilizes coalition resources to provide education, industry contacts, and reduce costs of doing business. OOCVA hosts membership meetings, including seminars & workshops, our website, and newsletters.
